Therapy for Teens
Are you a high school student feeling the pressure? On top of the usual academics, social issues, and extracurriculars, you now have to worry about things like applying to colleges. You have a lot to decide: where do you want to go? What do you want to major in? Do you even want to go to college at all? Are you ready to go away somewhere or should you stay home and commute?
If you’re super stressed and overwhelmed, Dynamic Heart Counseling can help! Individual therapy will allow you to explore your concerns and make you aware of the self doubt you may not even know you had. Once you encounter the mental roadblocks you can overcome the fear of failure and rejection that often comes with the high school life and college application process. You can feel confident about the decisions you are making!
Therapy for YOUNG ADULTS
You thought you were doing all of the right things: getting into college and earning your degree, finding a steady job, entering a committed relationship, buying a home, or starting a family, but you don’t feel fulfilled.
Maybe you’ve completed school and you’re looking for a job or have gotten one and are adjusting to the working world. Perhaps your new job, well, sucks, and you don’t know if you should get out or tough it out. Maybe you’re living with your parents again to save money until you earn enough to get your own place, and it feels like a step backwards.
Perhaps you’re in your late 20’s /early 30’s and are ready to move forward in your life. Something is holding you back, but you can’t pinpoint exactly what it is. Are you in toxic relationship? Are you in a wake up-go to work- come home and go to bed- repeat cycle? You want more but you need a boost and someone to hold you accountable to some healthy lifestyle changes.
Therapy for ADULTS
We’ve all heard the phrase, “The days are long but the years are short.”
Do you ever feel like time is flying by and you haven’t had a second to simply stop, take a breath, and be able to enjoy your life? Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do I even bother working so hard/showing up to work/paying my bills/taking care of my family)?” Do you ever feel like you aren’t appreciated for all that you do, and does that ever make you question your self worth?
If any of that sounds familiar to you, just know that you are one of many! The older we get the more opportunity there is for life to throw us a curveball. We all hope that we can get through life unscathed and with no regrets, but there is no stopping life from happening to us. We all experience loss and go through transitional periods, and we can all admit that our picture perfect families aren’t always a walk in the park. The truth is that everyone has their struggles behind closed doors. We also all have a choice: Will I bury my head in the sand and hope this problem goes away on its own, or do I want to face this problem head on with hopes for a better outcome?
Most people wait until they are in crisis to seek the help of a therapist, but therapy is for anyone who would like to get a deeper understanding about what makes themselves tick. We offer individual counseling as well as relationship counseling for couples and families.
